Sock Bun

After wearing the flat twist twist out style for 3 days I ended the work week (Thursday & Friday) with a bun which was created with the help of a sock.

Sock buns are super easy to make. You just cut the toe area from a clean sock and roll it until it forms a circle and there you have it a bun form. I chose to use a black trouser sock that has lost it mate (I think the dryer fairies took it) so that it could blend with my hair in the event that it moves and a portion of sock is showing.

Kept the front twists from the previous style and used my hands to smooth hair into a ponytail secured with a metal-free ponytail holder. No products were added because my hair was still full of the Beautiful Textures curl pudding.

Pulled loose hair through the sock bun form. Hair was spread over sock to completely cover it. Tucked under sock and secured with hair pins.

Another quick and easy ‘do.

Thanks for the tutorial! I hear so much about the sock bun, but this is the first time I've ever seen a tutorial.
