Protective Styling – Flat Twists

This weekend I was going along with my regular wash day routine of co-washing and deep conditioning.  Looking at myself in mirror, hair dripping wet, I did not have the slightest clue how I was going to style my hair for the upcoming week. Then a light bulb went off i-ve-got-it . I should try to do cornrows. With rat-tail comb and clips in hand I proceeded to braid the hair.

For some reason I was having a hard time braiding so I took my hair down and started over. This time doing flat twists. To make the flat twists hold and not come apart I added a little lock and twist gel to each section. There a two that are not perfect but oh well better luck next time.

I liked how this style came out and sense my ends are protected I ‘ve got a protective style for the week. At night I will tie a scarf or either sleep in a satin bonnet and refreshing the look in the morning with an oil & water spritz.

Until next time….
