My plan was to take down these twists down so I could use the shea moisture products purchased the other day. I couldn’t bring myself to take them down because to my surprise they still looked pretty decent.
Since my scalp was getting itchy and my hair looked a bit dull I figured washing them would alleviate that problem. When I used to wear kinky twist I washed them all the time with no problem.
On Sunday I co washed my twists using Tresemme Remoisturize conditioner. Holding my head back in the shower I let the water run through the twists. Next I squirted a nice amount of conditioner in my hands and gently rubbed it through and massaged my scalp as well, making sure to not unravel any twists. Then I held my head back under the running stream of water to rinse out the conditioner.
I gently patted or towel dried the twist. Applied Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner as a leave in and followed up with the Shea Moisture Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk.
Now that my scalp & hair is clean I no longer have that itchy scalp feeling. My twists has a nice shine to them and my hair smells good. I did notice that the twists did shrink up but dealing with shrinkage is something that I have gotten used to.
Until next time…
