My Curlformers Experience

Over the past few days I have been having an urge to straighten my hair using a flat iron and maybe some curlers. I have never been good with using flat irons or curling irons and believe this is why my hair became so damaged when I was relaxed.

I purchased a set of curlformers a few years ago and mainly used them on my daughter’s hair. I have never used them on my hair and decided to give it a try before I turn to heat styling. Curlformers are soft rubbery mesh spiral rollers that are placed onto hair using a hook. Once hair is dry and the rollers are removed it leaves a nice set of spiral curls.

I co washed and deep conditioned hair. Since I did not have any setting lotion on hand I used the flax seed gel that I made instead. I then proceeded to section hair and attach curlformers to wet hair. Let hair air dry and ended up sleeping in them which wasn’t a bad experience, it was just as uncomfortable as sleeping in any type of rollers.

I loved the results and how smooth the curls turned out. I was surprised at how my hair turned out by just using the flax seed gel as a setting lotion, this stuff is amazing. I will definitely be using these rollers again.

Until next time…

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. The curlformers are worth every penny. I purchased my set 2 years ago and love them. I would suggest using a setting lotion or gel so that the curls can last longer than one day.
