This week I styled my hair in a two strand twist out and I am in love with the curl definition that was achieved.
Saturday night I co washed and detangled hair. Used Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie to do small two strand twists. The next morning I rubbed a small amount of coconut oil through my hands and gently took apart each twists. At night I put on a satin bonnet and went to bed. In the morning sprayed Shea Moisture Moisture Mist to “wake up” hair and used fingers to fluff a bit.
I have a serious hand in hair problem. Last night, while playing in my hair, I managed to turn the side of my head into a fro. In my attempt to make this style last all week I put about 10 big twists in. Spraying each section of hair with the moisture mist before twisting. Put on bonnet and went to bed.
This morning I rubbed some coconut oil through my hands, gently separated each twist and finger combed.
As you can see the results turned into a less defined twist out. It looks more like a curly fro. Not the look I was going for but I have learned to just let my hair do what it do and try not to worry about it too much.
If anyone has any tips on how to make a twist out last longer than a day or two, please share by leaving a comment below.
