First let me start off by saying that I hardly ever use rubber bands and can’t remember the last time I did. So I was rushing trying to do my hair before heading out to work and instead of using clips to section the hair for detangling I grabbed some rubber bands that have been sitting on my bathroom shelf forever. I thought that I was carefully removing the bands but apparently not.
I heard the awful sound of snapping hair while removing the band and this is what I saw. This caused me to think that maybe rubber bands aren’t so good to use on curly coily hair. My goal is to obtain and maintain healthy hair not rip it out, therefore I am banning rubber bands from use in my hair.
The lesson I learned from this experience is to take my time, don’t rush the detangling process and rubber bands are not my friend.
