Afro, Puffs and Braids

These pictures are from the after effects of the curlformer curls and a rainy night. Those curls probably would have lasted a few more days if I did not get caught in the rain. Since the work week was not over there was no time for washing and restyling, so I transformed the curls into an afro for a day and then created a puff the next.

Aloe vera gel and soft brush was used to hold edges. I was suprised that aloe vera gel held all day, not one hair came put of place.

Until next time…

I love the braided head band look. I have curlformers and used them when I transitioned from relaxed to natural.

Thank you! How was your experience with curlformers, did you like the results?

I really liked how the curlformers gave me a really nice pretty curl, but it would never last more than 3 days and any water would ruin the curl.

Wow, that gel held REALLY well. I don't think I know how to use gel correctly because mine never came out like that!

I was also surprised at the hold. This was my 1st time using pure aloe vera gel on a puff. I poured a little gel into the palm of my hand, applied to edges then used my hand and brush to smooth. How do you use the it for your hair?
